I was born in Stafford. I am married with three young children; I live and work locally, and send my children to school here.
I am a long-time member of the Stafford & Stone branch of the Liberal Democrats, serving as the current Chair.
In my working life I have been a professional chef, and am currently studying for my BA in law.
I believe in giving back so actively volunteer in the community. Among other activities, I help with the children at the local primary school teaching them to read and write.
Politically, I am committed to the Liberal Democrat principles; I sit as a parish councillor on Forsbrook Parish Council.
Liberal Democrat principles mean that everyone deserves the same opportunities, an inclusive education for all regardless of ability, and a society that opens doors rather than shuts them.
In local politics, whether at county or village level, we need politicians that will act in the residents' best interests. Political life should be governed by ethics not the thrust for power.
We can restore trust in politics if we elect candidates that are transparently seeking to do their best and unite not divide.

In my manifesto for this 2021 election, I have these promises for the electors of Stone Rural:
- I promise that every Stone Rural elector who writes letters to me including a local address will get a reply.
- I promise to publish regular reports on my website of updates of my work as a county councillor.
- If you have concerns about the environment, please see me as your candidate. No Green Party candidate is standing in Stone Rural in 2021. I am determined to support measures to ensure that Staffordshire County Council's activities are the greenest in the country!
- Local planning matters are not in the remit of the county council, but I promise I will use my influence to oppose any inappropriate development in Stone Rural.
- I promise to pay visits to each and every parish council within Stone Rural, and listen to their concerns.
- As you may know, there is soon to be a huge national investment in bus services. I promise to fight to ensure that the rural areas of Staffordshire get their fair share of the fund.
- Speed-limits need to be appropriate for each stretch of road. I will be examining carefully all lengths of road where speed is an evidenced danger to residents, and making recommendations.
- Our public footpath network has really proved its value in the pandemic. There are many miles of footpath in Stone Rural, so what we must do now is ensure that the network works properly - for both land-owners and walkers. I promise to support measures to resolve problem issues.
Liberal Democrats enthusiastically support progressive business policies.
The county council is responsible for regional economic recovery after the pandemic, and the Liberal Democrats who are elected as county councillors will be vigorously driving forward imaginative, ethical and solid plans for our county's recovery.
Currently, the Conservatives have such a huge majority they can simply bulldoze through whatever they want. If you vote for me, you will be voting for a positive and alternative voice to challenge the Conservative monolith.
Please vote for me on May 6th. I promise you you will not be sorry.
